Let's try again

So when you’re in practice, with over 150 clients accessing the service each week and multiple groups ongoing it can be difficult to find time to do these updates. However, I am going to try again.

Let me start by re-introducing myself -

Who am I? My name is Donna, I lead the amazing staff team here at FICS. I am passionate about clients being able to access therapy and about FICS delivering innovative and evidence-led practice. I am a Forensic Psychologist and trauma practitioner.

What is evidence-led practice? This term means that research and best practice principles lead the types of therapeutic intervention that we deliver. This is especially important for those who have experienced trauma, I want to know that we are doing everything we can as an agency to help people in the quickest and most significant ways possible.

What’s the point of these updates? Things change quickly in the voluntary sector, new projects become available, funding shifts and some projects are retired. Staff change and teams grow and contract. This is just a space for me to share these updates.

How often will I do updates? That depends on what’s happening within the agency, clients always come first, sometimes staff need extra support, so as frequently as the diary allows!

Anyway, that’s a start - see you all soon!
