FICS’ co-founders, Bev and Donna, established FICS in 2016 with a mission of creating an agency that prioritised evidence-led practice, putting the needs of clients at the centre of all decisions. They worked hard to build a reliable and flexible service for clients but also a supportive working environment for therapists and related professionals.
FICS is now led by Donna, she is a qualified, HCPC registered, Chartered Forensic Psychologist as well as a BACP accredited therapist, specialising in trauma and working with individuals who have used aggressive or abusive behaviour within their relationships. Donna has worked in the field of domestic abuse since 2008, she is trained in structured risk assessments and application of psychological principles to practice.
FICS has changed in many ways over the years, now offering trauma treatment models, group therapy and a stronger emphasis on risk and safety monitoring. All staff use professional risk assessment tools, are thoroughly versed in safeguarding and as an agency, FICS has established links with partner agencies across Warwickshire.
The FICS staff team are varied in expertise and life experiences. All team members are trained in safeguarding and trauma, attending regular events to expand and update their skills. The FICS team aren’t just ‘trauma-informed’, they offer different approaches to treating trauma, meaning that clients can feel assured that they can make genuine changes to positively impact their current symptoms.
