Family Intervention Counselling Service (FICS)

Our agency was founded in 2016 by Bev and Donna, after working in the field of domestic abuse for many years, they decided to establish the Family Intervention Counselling Service with a vision of creating a client-led service which genuinely offers therapeutic services to those whom have experienced domestic abuse. Bev and Donna have not only worked to build a reliable and flexible service for clients but also a supportive working environment for therapists and related professionals.

Bev and Donna remain dedicated to providing effective and evidence-based interventions, with a determination to grow their service, a passion to service delivery and partnership working with other professionals within Warwickshire.

As individuals - Bev is a BACP registered, integrative Psychotherapist who has specialised in working with victims of domestic abuse for the last 18 years. Bev's passion is working to change the future of children who have been victims of domestic abuse. Whilst building the agency, Bev has achieved an undergraduate degree in Psychology and is due to start the DDP Practicum to become a DDP Practitioner. As a qualified and experienced supervisor Bev is outstandingly supportive and intuitive, she is widely respected by professionals and colleagues alike.

Donna is a BACP accredited therapist, specialising in working with individuals who have used aggressive or abusive behaviour within their relationships. Donna has worked in the field of domestic abuse for 16 years, she is trained in structured risk assessments and is due to qualify as a Forensic Psychologist in 2023. As a qualified and experienced supervisor Donna is solution focussed and driven to help people achieve their goals.
